The Settlers, Inc. Garden Committee is requesting help to maintain the Swinney Homestead grounds, including the Settlers’ Herb Garden.

We recommend wearing a hat and gloves, sun block.  Bring a water bottle.  No tools are necessary, but feel free to bring your own tools, knee pads or garden stool. Parking is by the Tennis Courts.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet visitors and participants with a positive, approachable attitude.Handle cash and process payments for activities and events.Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and take messages as needed.Assist with basic computer tasks such as updating schedules, entering data, and maintaining records.Engage with the general public, answering questions, and providing information about community programs and services.

 

Requirements:

A passion for working with people and providing excellent customer service.Basic computer skills (Very basic data entry, and cash register usage)Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone.Commitment to volunteering once a week for a 4.5-hour shift.
